Common questions
NameForge FAQ
A few clear answers before you use a generated name in the real world.
Is NameForge free?
Yes. The generator is available without a paid account. The site may show advertising to help cover hosting and service costs.
Are the names guaranteed to be unique?
No. AI can produce the same or similar ideas for different people, and existing names may not be visible to the generator. Always search company, trademark, domain and social sources before using a result.
Can I use a generated name commercially?
You may use the result as a starting point, but you are responsible for checking legal availability and suitability. NameForge does not transfer a trademark, guarantee ownership, or provide legal advice.
Why did I receive an error?
Check that you selected a category, entered a length between 2 and 50 characters, and used only one letter in the optional starting-letter field. Temporary service or network problems can also prevent a result. Try again later if your inputs are valid.
What information does the generator need?
It receives the category, maximum length, style and optional starting letter needed to make the suggestion. Do not enter passwords, private customer information, or confidential business plans into the form.
How can I get better results?
Generate several ideas, vary the style, and use the naming guide to compare them. A specific category and a realistic length usually produce more useful results than trying to describe an entire business in one request.
What should I do if the generator does not work?
Check that your inputs are valid and try again later. The generator depends on hosting and third-party services, so temporary outages can occur. The site does not provide a direct support channel.
